ADRIAN — Adrian Public Schools is moving forward with technology upgrades and reviewing long-standing contracts to support staff needs.

This summer, the district will replace aging devices at Lincoln and Michener, approving the purchase of 65 Dell Slim PCs through Presidio at a cost of $58,000. It’s part of a scheduled cycle to keep hardware up to date and classrooms running smoothly.

In parallel, the Board of Education is reviewing a proposed adjustment to its agreement with EduStaff, the company providing substitute teachers and other support roles since 2016. The proposed change would raise the district’s service fee from 18 percent to 18.6 percent, reflecting updated federal time requirements and operating costs.

The tech rollout is locked in. The contract decision will be discussed further at the board’s next meeting. Both are part of a broader goal — keeping Adrian schools running efficiently while giving staff and students the tools they need to succeed.
