Pedro “Pete” Herrera passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 27, 2025, surrounded by his family. Pete was born on Sept 29,1965, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Antonio Herrera and Irene Muniz.
In 1988 Pete moved to Michigan where he met the love of his life, San Juanita Marshall (Ramirez). They were married on December 27, 1994, in Adrian, Michigan.
You could always find Pete outdoors whether it was mowing the yard, working or fishing. Pete loved his family more than anything, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed being at the kids’ school and sporting events and teaching them how to fish.
Pete was employed by Back to Nature Lawn Care of Milan, MI for 20 years, where he made many lifelong friends.
Pete is survived by his wife, Juanita, and their three children Andrea Marshall-Diver (Jenn Heinz), Stanley (Ashley) Marshall, Kevin Marshall (Kim Raymond); ten grandchildren, Dominique Suchman, Anthony Bristoll, Isabella Marshall, Catherine Snyder, Kalub Marshall, Anabelle Akers-Snyder, Beckham Marshall-Diver, Cullen Marshall, AJ Marshall-Diver, Martin Marshall; his mother, Irene; siblings, Rosa, Oscar, Israel, David, Rodolfo and Garcia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Herrera and grandson, Reid Marshall-Diver.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Visitation will take place from 12 p.m. until the service starts at the funeral home.
