Lenawee Board of Commissioners Proclaim May 15th as Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Day

Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners has officially proclaimed May 11 through May 17 as Police Officer Week. The proclamation honors law enforcement officers at the local, state, and national levels for their service, bravery, and sacrifice. The resolution also designates May 15th as Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Day, with a request that flags be flown at half-staff across the county in remembrance.

Commissioners recognized the daily risks officers take, as well as the toll placed on their families, and paid tribute to eight Lenawee County officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Lenawee County Sheriff Troy Bevier shared these remarks…
