Blissfield, MI – The Blissfield Public Works Department will be conducting a village-wide flushing of water hydrants now until Friday, April 11th to remove sediment that accumulates in the water lines.

The flushing will be conducted between the hours of 11 PM and 6 AM each day to minimize any inconvenience to customers. During the hydrant flushing, residents may notice the water has a rusty appearance.

Although the water is still safe to use and drink, residents should check the color of the water before doing laundry. If the water is rusty, run the cold water for a short time to clear the lines. If you have any questions, contact the Blissfield Village Office at (517) 486-4347.
