Adrian, MI – The Adrian College Men’s ACHA Division 1 hockey team captured the inaugural GL6 Playoff Championship, 4-3, in overtime against Calvin University Friday night at the Arrington Ice Arena.
Justin Jamer scored the game-winner midway through the extra frame. The Great Lakes Six Conference trophy is named after longtime Calvin University hockey director and head ACHA Division I coach Mike Petrusma…who passed away during the season due to complications from an extended illness at the age of 61.
The Adrian College Men’s ACHA Division 1 Bulldogs will now take two weeks to prepare for the ACHA National Championship Tournament, beginning on March 15th in St. Louis, Missouri. The championship game was aired on 103.9fm WLEN Friday night.
