Michael (“Mike”) Joe Wiley died on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 81 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home in Adrian, Michigan.

Mike was born September 4, 1943, and grew to adulthood in Bryan, Ohio, graduating from Bryan High School in 1961. Mike regularly attended his class reunions throughout the years and retained close friendships there.

Mike’s children and grandchildren include son, Mike (wife Erin, sons Peter and Mitchell), son Jeff (sons Jason, Joe, and Justin), step-daughter Kathy Westfall (husband Miguel Flores, children Anthony, Sam, and Mariana) and step-daughter Betsy Westfall (sons Travis and Isaac). He married Susie in 1978 (introduced to him by Bryanite Trudy Day). For 46 years he gave her a beautiful life filled with love, joy, and laughter.

Mike worked for several years at the Aro Corporation and then Fisher Automatic. When he and Susie moved to South Carolina in 1986, he learned all about apartment management and later had his own business repairing rental houses. Mike could fix anything!

After they both retired, Susie and Mike relocated to Norris Lake, Tennessee. Together the couple volunteered at the Norris Area Food Pantry and attended Sinking Springs United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher. Mike loved the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and gardening. In 2024, he and Susie returned to the Midwest, settling at Round Lake (near Adrian) after nearly 40 years in the south. The couple found a new church home at Rollin Center United Methodist Church. Mike was a friend to all and could keep people laughing with his quick wit.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Rollin Center United Methodist Church, Saturday, March 8, 2:00 pm.

Preferred memorials could be made to the Norris Area Food Pantry, PO Box 327, Norris, TN 37828 or Hospice of Lenawee, 1903 Wolf Creek Highway, Adrian, MI 49221.
