Clayton, MI – The Clayton Fire Department is dealing with significant water damage after a water line break over the weekend in their office area. The department discovered the problem when they returned from assisting on a barn fire in Cambridge Township.
A post on the Clayton Fire Department Facebook page says that the water completely flooded their office area, collapsing the drop ceiling tiles. They are asking for the community’s help with donations for their 2nd annual First Responder Chili Cook-Off and Silent Auction, Sunday, March 9th…as the majority of donations they had received were stored in the office area.
The event is scheduled for Noon until 3pm at the Clayton Fire Department, on Center Street in Clayton. They said their phones were not working at the station as of this morning, and to reach out to them on Facebook.
