Onsted, MI – Lenawee County TRIAD invites older residents to attend Shield Against Scams, a free workshop designed to educate and empower you with the knowledge to protect yourself against fraud. Scammers are constantly finding new ways to target older adults, using phone calls, emails, fake websites, and even in-person scams to steal personal information and money.
Unfortunately, these schemes are becoming more sophisticated, making it crucial to stay informed and prepared. This informative session will cover common scams affecting older adults, key warning signs to watch for, and practical steps to avoid becoming a victim.
Cory Reindel, CFE and Senior Fraud Investigator from Premier Bank, will be the event’s featured speaker. With years of experience in fraud prevention and financial security, Cory will share real-life examples, the latest fraud trends, and essential tips on how to safeguard your personal and financial information.
In addition to the presentation, there will be a Q&A session, allowing attendees to ask questions and get personalized advice on fraud prevention. Whether you’ve been a victim of a scam in the past or simply want to strengthen your defenses, this workshop is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable insights and take control of your financial security.
The event will take place on Wednesday, March 12th, at 10 AM at the Onsted Senior Center.
