Russell Dean Perkins Jr., age 61, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away on February 7, 2025 at his home under the care of Hospice of Lenawee with his family at his side. He was born June 19, 1963 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Russell Dean and Sally Jo (Brown) Perkins Sr. On April 14, 1997, he was joined in marriage with Deanna Marie Evans in Las Vegas, NV, and they enjoyed over twenty-seven years together. He was employed in the aviation industry as an aircraft mechanic.
Russell had a love for the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hiking, and exploring trails. He was an avid hiker and also had a passion for camping.
In addition to his wife Deanna, Russell is survived by his father Russell Sr.; his children, Daniel Young of Tecumseh, MI, and Mariah Perkins of Adrian, MI; his sister Brenda Perkins of Tecumseh, MI; his four grandchildren, Olivia Hampton, Raelynn and Cameron Young and Shawn Perkins; his many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Molly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Jo.
At Russell’s request there will be no services. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh, MI.
