Dorothy Jean Justice, age 93, of Adrian, died February 9,2025 at Lenawee Medical Center. She was born February 1,1932, in Adrian to John E. and Vivan (Dillion) Powell. On April 27,1952, she married William Dee Justice Sr. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2000. Dorothy had been a Teacher’s Aide at McKinley School for eight years, worked at K-Mart for 14years, and then at Bixby Medical Center in the Gift shop. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the D.A.V. Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Cadmus Study Club. She loved to decorate cakes, play bingo, and to travel.
Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Cindy Biggs of Adrian, Nancy (Rich) Liski of Harrison, Michigan and Amy Justice of Adrian. One brother Jerry (Nancy) Powell of North Carolina; A Sister, Sharlene ( Les) Armstrong of Adrian. Caregiver Oliva Cadwallader. Eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, William, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lori Denig; Son William D Justice Jr. and three brothers, John Powell Jr., Donald Powell and Max Powell.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 13, 11:00 AM at the Anderson- Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Joel Sarrault officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian. Visitation will be held at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12,2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
