Johnny was employed at the General Motors Willow Run plant as a painter for over thirty years, until his medical retirement. Johnny was also always ready for going out to eat.
Johnny is survived by his long time significant other, Raylene Brannon of Tipton, MI; his children, Patrick Adams of Tecumseh, MI and Kerry Adams of Belleville, MI; his grandchildren, Brianne (Keenan) Denney and John Adams II, both of Adrian, MI, and Seth Deck of Belleville, MI; ten great-grandchildren, John III, Kenzey, Maddison, Justyce, Reign, Novell, and Harmony Adams, and Paxton, Grayson, and Brynleigh Denney.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Lorenzo Adams; his brother, Jimmy Adams; his grandmother, Kathleen Adams, whom he loved dearly and missed every day, often speaking of her even until the time of his death; and a daughter-in-law, Dawn Adams.
Johnny’s children would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Raylene for tirelessly caring for their dad while on Hospice care at home. The family would also like to thank Elara Caring Hospice for their prompt, kind, and compassionate care. Special thanks to his nurse, Chad, for always making us feel better by his explanations, suggestions, and willingness to listen. Also, a special thanks to Elara Caring Hospice Aide Kayla for providing exceptional care, going above and beyond, and for always showing up. Thank You!
