Dean Francis Staal Jr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on January 17, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on June 22, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, Dean was the cherished son of Dean Francis Staal Sr. and Clarice (Leggett) Staal. He is preceded in death by his twin sister, Denise, who passed away at birth, and his sister, Brenda Poortenga. Dean is survived by his devoted wife, Rebekah, and their four beloved children: Noah, Faith, Blake, and Hannah Joy. He also leaves behind his loving brother, Bret (Shelley) Staal, and his sister, Nadine (Steven) Guthrie.

Dean’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his work. He married Rebekah on October 9, 1999, in Adrian, Michigan, a union that blossomed into a life filled with love and laughter. Dean worked at Carriage House as a carpenter for the last 15 years, showcasing his skills and strong work ethic that made him a respected member of his community.

Dean attended South Suburban College in Illinois, where he laid the groundwork for a fulfilling career. However, it was his role as a father and husband that brought him the most joy.
