
ADRIAN — Lenawee Community Health officials say approximately 250 people participated in this year’s Drug Take-Back event in Lenawee County, helping remove hundreds of pounds of unused medications from local homes.
According to organizers, the collection included more than 401 pounds of oral solid medications, 225 pounds of liquid and topical medications, and nearly 45 pounds of flammable medications. Volunteers also collected 12 large 28-gallon containers filled with used sharps.
The event was coordinated by Lenawee Community Health in partnership with local agencies as part of ongoing efforts to reduce accidental overdoses, misuse, and unsafe disposal of prescription medications.
