MORENCI — Registration is now open for the second annual Run for the Roses 5K Race and Walk in Morenci.
The event returns to downtown Morenci on Saturday, June 6th, with a 9 a.m. start time. The race is hosted by the Morenci Downtown Development Authority in partnership with the Morenci Middle and High School cross country program.
Organizers say part of this year’s proceeds will help fund refurbishing the school cross country course.
The event is listed at 113 North Street, with the race starting in the city lot at Mill and Locust Streets. Registration is 35 dollars, and sign-up is open through Friday, June 5th at 11:59 p.m.
