An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified the City of Adrian as the recipient of more than $1.1 million in Community Development Block Grant funding.

MORENCI — Lenawee County officials say the City of Morenci has been awarded more than $1.1 million in federal grant funding.
County Administrator Kim Murphy told commissioners the funding comes through the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and the U-S Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Murphy says the city is now in the environmental review phase of the project and is asking for public input.
Residents had until March 30th to submit comments or concerns as part of that review process.
Officials say those comments will be considered before the project moves forward.
