ADRIAN — Lenawee County Commissioners approved a proclamation supporting the America 250 effort led locally by the Lucy Wolcott Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Thursday night.
A representative from the chapter thanked the board and outlined plans for a series of events marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The proclamation backs local efforts to commemorate the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, including a plaque dedication at the Lenawee Historical Museum in July, a public reading at the courthouse, and additional community events throughout the summer.
