BLISSFIELD — The Miss River Raisin Scholarship Program is opening its 2026 pre-application process as organizers prepare to crown the 31st Miss River Raisin Festival on July 10th in Blissfield.

Local director Marcia Loader says the program offers Lenawee County young women opportunities for scholarship, leadership, and service.

Over the past 30 years, the program has awarded more than $208,000 in college scholarships, including just over $10,000 in 2025. Potential contestants are asked to sign up by April 24th and attend an orientation on April 26th in Blissfield.

Eligible young women must meet age, residency, school, or work requirements in Lenawee County.

The competition will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 10th, on the Pavilion Stage at Bachmayer Park during the River Raisin Festival.
