ADRIAN — More than 150 members of the Civil Air Patrol are set to take part in a large-scale training exercise this weekend in Lenawee County.

The operation, known as “Operation Wolverine,” will take place March 28th and 29th from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Adrian Civil Air Patrol building at Lenawee County Airport.

Participants will train in a range of roles, including aircrew, ground search and rescue teams, logistics, and operations planning. Scenarios will include missing person searches, overdue aircraft investigations, and disaster response techniques such as aerial photography to assess flooding and damage.

As part of the exercise, aircrews will also capture images across Lenawee and surrounding counties in simulated support of local public safety agencies.

Organizers are thanking the Lenawee County Airport, airport manager Thomas Kendziora, the Adrian Salvation Army, Madison Township Police, and local property owners for supporting the training.
