ADRIAN — A local protest is planned this weekend as part of a nationwide day of action.

Organizers with Lenawee Indivisible say residents will gather Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Comstock Park in Adrian for what’s being called the “No Kings Day of Action.”

The event is part of a broader national effort, with organizers reporting thousands of similar demonstrations planned across all 50 states.

Locally, the group says the peaceful gathering is aimed at voicing opposition to recent executive actions and calling for government accountability. Organizers point to concerns including foreign policy decisions, economic impacts on Americans, and transparency issues at the federal level.

Attendees can expect live music, informational tables, and opportunities to sign ballot initiatives. Organizers also say trained de-escalation volunteers will be on-site to help ensure the event remains peaceful.

A demonstration will also be happening in Tecumseh from 1-2:30pm at Tecumseh City Hall.

Lenawee Indivisible describes itself as a grassroots organization focused on civic engagement and nonviolent action.
