CLINTON — The Village of Clinton has scheduled a public hearing to gather input on its upcoming budget and property taxes.
The hearing will take place Monday, April 6th at 7 p.m. at the Village Office on East Michigan Avenue.
Village officials say the purpose is to receive public comment on the proposed 2026–2027 budget, along with tax levies for the village, the Downtown Development Authority, and the Smith-Kimball Community Center.
The proposed village millage rate remains unchanged at 10.10 mills. The DDA levy is also unchanged at zero mills, and the Smith-Kimball Community Center levy will stay at .83 mills.
However, residents would see a slight increase in refuse collection fees, rising from $218.18 to $223.63 per residential unit.
Copies of the proposed budget are available at the Village Office during normal business hours.
Residents needing special accommodations are asked to contact the office at least 72 business hours in advance.
