
ADRIAN — The Adrian Fire Department is now accepting applications for full-time Firefighter/Paramedic positions, with a deadline set for April 6.
Officials say candidates with Firefighter I and II certification and an EMT or paramedic license can expect a starting salary of $58,685. Those with both Firefighter I and II certification and a paramedic license will start at $62,032, along with a $4,000 annual medic bonus.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and hold a high school diploma or GED. A Michigan EMT license is required, with a paramedic license required within three years of hire. Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license, background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
Candidates must also complete the CPAT physical agility test within 180 days of hire or provide a valid certificate at the time of hire.
