
Richard E. Jezierski, Sr., age 77 of Jonesville passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, Ann Arbor. He was born on May 28, 1948, in Highland Park, the son of Leo and Emma (Rose) Jezierski.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. When he returned home in 1969, he married Sharon Holder. She passed away on April 24, 1992. Richard later married Crystal (Lee) Day in 1997 and she preceded him in death in 2015.
Richard worked at General Motors at the Ypsilanti Powertrain Plant as a hi-lo driver. He retired after 33 years of service. Richard was a hard worker. He loved being outdoors gardening, cutting wood and taking care of his property. Richard was from a large family and he enjoy socializing with family and friends. He loved to keep family and friends on their toes with his quick wit and playfulness.
Richard is survived by his three children, Richard (Kaitlyn) Jezierski, Jr., Robert (Andrea) Jezierski and Brandy (Audey Green) Jezierski, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, seven brothers and sisters, Kathleen (Lynn) Foster, Gayle (George) Escher, Patrick Jezierski, Barb Perrine, Mark Jezierski, Forrest (Julieta) Jezierski and Bo Jezierski; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wives, granddaughter, Holly Adams, parents and sister-in-law, Sheryl Jezierski.
Funeral Services for Richard will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home, Addison with Dr. Samuel E. Wickard officiating. Burial will follow next to his first wife, Sharon Jezierski at Lickley’s Corners Cemetery in Pittsford, Michigan. Military Honors will be conducted by Hanna-Colvin Post #180 American Legion, Hudson. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
