FAIRFIELD — One person was seriously injured after a rollover crash Sunday morning in Fairfield Township.

The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of M-52 and Packard Road, just south of the village of Jasper.

Investigators say a northbound Ford Ranger pickup truck struck the rear of a Nissan Altima that was also traveling northbound and slowing as it approached the Jasper village limits.

The impact caused the pickup to overturn, ejecting a 21-year-old woman from Fayette, Ohio. She was taken by ambulance to Toledo Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup, a 22-year-old man from Fayette, Ohio, was cited for multiple violations related to the crash. Authorities say alcohol and drugs were not factors, but the occupants of the pickup were not wearing seatbelts.

Adrian Police, the Fairfield Township Fire Department, and Madison Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
