
ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Drain Commissioner’s Office has released its annual report detailing drainage, water, and sewer system operations across the county.
Drain Commissioner Edwin Scheffler submitted the report covering activity during the 2025 calendar year.
According to the report, the office is responsible for maintaining more than 1,500 miles of county drains across 714 drainage districts throughout Lenawee County.
The report also outlines responsibilities that include managing several county sewer and water systems, overseeing soil erosion control permits, and maintaining court-ordered lake levels on several lakes in the county.
Officials say the annual report provides a detailed summary of the office’s work maintaining drainage infrastructure and protecting water resources throughout Lenawee County.
