TECUMSEH — A popular spring craft and vendor show is returning to Tecumseh this weekend, bringing dozens of vendors and hundreds of expected visitors to the AJ Smith Recreation Center.

Tecumseh Parks and Recreation Operations Manager Ashley Gomez-Carpenter spoke with Dale Gaertner on Community Conversation about this year’s event, which is already packed with vendors offering a wide range of handmade goods.

Gomez-Carpenter says while many of the vendors are local, the show has also drawn interest from businesses outside the immediate area.

Organizers expect between four and six hundred people to attend the show. Vendors will be set up in both gymnasiums at the recreation center, allowing more space for shoppers and accessible aisles for strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs.

The event will also feature food and specialty items including baked goods, kettle corn, Michigan fudge, and Girl Scout cookies in the lobby area.

The craft and vendor show will take place Saturday, March 14th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the AJ Smith Recreation Center at 810 North Evans Street in Tecumseh. Admission is $2, and children are in for free.
