ADRIAN — A retreat exploring the spiritual writings of Jesuit scientist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin is scheduled next month at the Weber Retreat and Conference Center in Adrian.
“Growing in Radiance with Teilhard de Chardin” will run from 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26 through 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29. The program will be led by Sister Kathleen Duffy, a professor emerita of physics and director of the Institute for Religion and Science at Chestnut Hill College, whose research focuses on the relationship between science and the religious writings of Teilhard.
Organizers say the retreat will examine what Teilhard described as the “radiance” within matter and the experience of Christ’s presence in the physical world through contemplative reflection and discussion.
Cost is $125 for commuters, $225 for double occupancy, and $325 for single occupancy, with meals included for overnight guests. Registration is required at webercenter.org, or by calling the Weber Center at 517-266-4000.
Limited scholarships are available.
