Leroy A. Lewis Sr., affectionately known to family and close friends as Roy, had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He had a special fondness for John Deere Tractors and Classic Cars. Like his Model A and his Ford Coupe, that he loved to get out for drives around the block or school parades. These interests were more than hobbies; they were reflections of his appreciation for craftsmanship and history. Roy found joy in sharing these passions with his family and took pride in teaching his Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren about the things he loved most. His lessons were not just about tractors or cars but about life itself, instilling values of hard work and dedication while creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Roy was known for being loving yet stern when needed – a balance that earned him respect. Roy was admired for his intelligence and sense of fun. He brought warmth to every gathering with his sharp wit and unwavering support for those he held dear. His family remembers him as a guiding light who always encouraged them to strive for their best while reminding them of the importance of love and togetherness. Roy’s impact extended far beyond his immediate family. Those who knew him appreciated his wisdom and kindness, his presence was a source of strength to many. A true testament to the remarkable man he was.
May Roy’s memory bring comfort to all who loved him as they carry forward the lessons he imparted and the love he so generously gave.
