MORENCI — The City of Morenci is inviting residents to help shape the community’s future through a public master plan open house later this month.
City officials are updating Morenci’s master plan, a long-term policy document that guides land use, development priorities and community planning.
The open house will gather public input on several focus areas, including land use, housing, redevelopment sites, economic trends, current city initiatives and an implementation action plan.
Planning staff and consultants from Beckett and Raeder Incorporated will be available to answer questions, explain the planning process and collect feedback from attendees.
The Morenci master plan open house is scheduled for Monday, March 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Stair District Library.
City officials say residents, workers, students and business owners are all encouraged to attend and share their perspectives as the plan is developed.
