ADRIAN — The City of Adrian Parks and Recreation Department will receive 75 trees to plant this spring and fall, courtesy of ReLeaf Michigan.

ReLeaf Michigan is Michigan’s only statewide tree planting non-profit organization, working with communities throughout the state to protect and restore urban tree canopies since 1988.

Their mission is to educate the public on the value of trees and how to properly select, plant, and maintain them.

According to a statement from the City of Adrian, ReLeaf Michigan has worked with community volunteers to plant more than 33,500 trees on public property in Michigan’s cities, townships, and villages.

Spring planting is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th, at Riverside Park.
