ADRIAN — Lenawee Cares grant applications will open March 1 for local health and human service nonprofits in Lenawee County.
According to a release from the Lenawee Community Foundation, applications will be accepted through April 1. Eligible organizations must assist individuals and families facing food insecurity, housing instability, limited access to health care and other basic needs.
The maximum grant request is $15,000. Guidelines and application materials are available on the foundation’s website.
Grant proposals will be reviewed by the Lenawee Cares Committee before recommendations go to the Lenawee Community Foundation Board of Directors for final approval. Award notifications are expected in June.
Established in 2016, the Lenawee Cares program has distributed more than $4 million to local organizations supporting essential services across the county.
