TECUMSEH — The City of Tecumseh is encouraging residents participating in the Water Meter Replacement Project to register for the My Water Advisor portal following installation of new master meters.

The online tool allows customers to monitor water usage in real time through a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone app. City officials say the My Water Advisor system is designed to improve customer service and help residents better manage water consumption.

According to information distributed by the city, users can proactively conserve water, set monthly usage budgets and receive alerts for suspected leaks, high consumption or vacation-related irregularities before a utility bill arrives.

To create an account, residents must visit My Water Advisor 2 dot com or download My Water Advisor 2.0 from the app store. Customers will need their utility account number as it appears on their bill, along with their name and a valid email address to complete registration.

Once logged in, customers can activate notifications for leak detection and consumption limits.

Residents with questions about the portal or the new meter system are asked to contact the Utility Billing Clerk at 517-424-6545.

City officials have directed residents to MyTecumseh.org for additional information about the Water Meter Replacement Project.
