
Sally Eileen Broderick, age 82, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Hickman Hospital. She was born in Adrian, MI, on May 11, 1943, the daughter of the late Allen and Josephine (Kapnick) Cutler. She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School. On June 5, 1964, she was joined in marriage with Harold “Hal” Broderick., and they enjoyed fifty-six years of marriage before his passing in September of 2020. Sally was employed at Tecumseh Products and then she moved on to become an office coordinator for Dr. Colin Mayers DDS in Adrian, MI, and then for Dr. James Hinesly’s Orthodontics office. She officially retired in 2008 after twenty-five years of working.
Sally was a faithful member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tecumseh, MI, where she served on the Social Ministry Committee as well as assisted with the Meals on Wheels program. She was an ardent member of the Indian’s Fan Club and one of the originators of Tecumseh After Prom event. Sally loved gardening, golfing, playing cards, and traveling, and dining out with her family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting on her deck watching the swans float by. She was a huge Michigan Wolverines fan. Her ultimate favorite time though was when she was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Sally is survived by her children, Sharon LaDuca of Salem, OR, Jayne Wagner of Roscommon, MI, Kathleen Broderick of Adrian, MI, Vicki Bartoo of Dalton, GA, Jennifer Broderick of Tecumseh, MI, and Hal Broderick of Tecumseh, MI; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Ziegler, of Tecumseh, MI, and Janet Robison of Naples, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and her parents.
A funeral service for Sally, officiated by Rev. Ted Kerr, will take place at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery.
