
ADRIAN — Drone Symposium 2.0 will bring Michigan lawmakers and industry leaders together later this month to examine how unmanned aerial systems are shaping security, the economy, and daily life.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Mackinac Room at the Anderson House Office Building, 124 North Capitol Avenue in Lansing.
According to the invitation issued by State Representative William Bruck of the 30th District, the symposium will focus on drone security, capabilities, mobility, manufacturing and current legislation affecting drone use, procurement and enforcement across the state.
Agenda highlights include opening remarks from Speaker Matt Hall, Chair William Bruck and Michigan State Capitol Commission Executive Director Robert Blackshaw.
Discussions will also cover federal drone policy updates, including the National Defense Authorization Act and the Safer Skies Act, as well as commercial applications and manufacturing developments in Michigan.
The event will conclude with open discussion and media availability.
