
ADRIAN — A former Lenawee youth soccer coach was sentenced on Friday to at least 22 years in prison after he was convicted last year of 18 felony counts, including criminal sexual conduct.
39-year-old Andrew Olnhausen was sentenced by Judge Michael Olsaver of the 39th Circuit Court to 22 years 2 months to 60 years’ incarceration.
Olnhausen was found guilty in July 2025 of four counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, three counts of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, five counts of Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material and one count each of Accosting Children for Immoral Purpose, Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, Distributing Sexual Material to a Minor, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel released a statement on the case, saying, quote, “I am grateful to the courageous survivor who came forward, and I commend the prosecutors in my office and the Adrian Police Department for their efforts to secure this significant sentence.” unquote.
Olnhausen was a youth soccer coach with Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
He had an abusive sexual relationship with a soccer player that started in 2016 when the victim was 12 years old and continued until the victim was approximately 16 years old.
The charges against Olnhausen are the result of an investigation by the Adrian Police Department.
Olnhausen was extradited back to Michigan from Texas to face these charges in 2022.
Olnhausen’s sentence also includes an order for lifetime registration with the Sex Offender Registry and lifetime electronic monitoring.
