
Ada Mary Palmer, age 84, passed away at ProMedica Toledo Hospital on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was born May 5, 1941, to Larry and Cora (Campbell) Money in Middlesboro, Kentucky. On June 23, 1962, she married Neal Palmer, he preceded her in death. Later in life Ada married Dr. Howard Pennington on January 11, 2014, the two of them celebrated a wonderful 12 years together with lots of adventures during their many trips.
Ada worked as a hairdresser for many years. She was owner of New Image Salon for 42 years and worked at Bella’s Salon after selling her business, more recently Ada worked at Hang Loose Boutique and Hair Salon. Ada was a woman of faith and was a proud member of Adrian First Presbyterian Church. She found great joy in volunteering and did so at many places, also did fundraising through her salon. When Ada wasn’t working or volunteering, she could be found doing her favorite thing, which was spending time with her family and friends. She was a very loving and nurturing mother.
Left to cherish Ada’s memory are her husband, Howard; daughters, Lori Palmer (Roy Regalado), Deb Palmer (Josh Alcorta); Howards children, Debbie (Ken) Bickerstaff, Sue (Mike) Hardie, Linda (Brian) Benschoter, Doug (Chris) Pennington; sisters, Dora Clark, Joyce (Glenn) Jenkins Parker, Elizabeth (Tom) Douglas, Cheryl (LeRoy) Harsh; brothers, Robert Money, and Donald Money; brother-in-law, Herb (Harriet) Speigel; special lifelong friend, Olive Bickerstaff, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her first husband, Neal; her parents; brothers George Money and Larry Money and sisters, Hester Spiegel and Sue Woerner.
Funeral services for Ada will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Dr. Scott Elliott officiating. Visitaton will be from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, and from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home.
