ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Historical Museum will host a Historic Adrian program on Saturday, February 28, featuring local author and museum volunteer Paul Plassman.
The program, titled “Beautiful Historic Adrian,” will begin at 2 p.m. in the Frazier Auditorium on the museum’s second floor. The museum will open at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
Plassman, a Medina Township native, earned his history degree after initially studying civil engineering at Jackson College. He later completed an internship at the Lenawee County Historical Museum through Siena Heights University and now volunteers with the organization.
Museum officials said Plassman has helped digitize tax records in the archives, assists patrons with research and co-manages the museum’s Facebook page. He has also worked at Sauder Village, a living history museum in Archbold, Ohio.
Plassman will discuss his third self-published book, “Beautiful Historic Adrian: Showcasing Adrian’s Historic Architecture,” along with his research process and experience identifying and documenting historic buildings.
All three of his books will be available for purchase at the museum.
