LENAWEE CO. — Three Michigan destinations are being recognized among the top cozy Valentine’s getaways in the country.
A survey of more than 3,000 couples by travel company Exoticca ranked Harbor Springs 13th nationwide. Saugatuck came in at Number 37, and Munising ranked 76th.
The survey focused on winter atmosphere, small-town charm and destinations suited for quiet evenings indoors.
Harbor Springs was highlighted for its snow-covered streets and harbor views. Saugatuck was noted for its off-season calm along Lake Michigan, and Munising for its frozen shoreline and forest setting near Pictured Rocks.
