ADRIAN — The Lenawee Great Start Coalition and Great Start Parent Coalition are conducting a diaper drive throughout Lenawee County this month.
The Lenawee diaper drive runs from February 1 through February 28, with organizers working to collect at least 20,000 disposable diapers by May 16.
Donations of disposable diapers, wipes or diaper cream can be dropped off at multiple locations, including:
- Tuckey’s Big Boy
- Lenco Credit Union
- The Milton C. Porter Education Center
- First Presbyterian Church in Adrian
- Gloria Dei Lutheran in Tecumseh
- First United Methodist Church in Adrian
- Schultz-Holmes Memorial Library
- Lenawee District Library
- Adrian District Library
- Hudson City Offices.
Residents may also purchase items through the group’s Amazon wish list or mail a check to Lenawee Great Start at 2946 Sutton Road in Adrian.
Organizers note diapers can cost up to $75 per child per month, and WIC and SNAP benefits do not cover diaper purchases.
