Barbara Ketchum, 58, passed away on February 8, 2026, in Clinton, Michigan. Born on September 13, 1967, in Saline, Michigan, Barbara lived a life marked by resilience, passion, and deep care for those around her.
Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved going to the beach more than anything—a place where she could relax and recharge. Whether it was the sound of waves or the warmth of the sun, the beach was her sanctuary. She also cherished time spent with family and friends, always making room in her life for laughter and connection. A true enthusiast of life’s little delights, Barbara had a special fondness for slushies—an indulgence that brought her genuine happiness.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Hailey Ketchum; her brother, Doug Ketchum; and her aunts, Kay Adams and Carol Adams. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Elisabeth Harris; her biological father, Jack Ketchum; her beloved step-father, Donald Harris; and her uncles, Jim Adams and Tom Adams.
Barbara’s caring nature touched many lives. Her strength and compassion were evident to all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing and inspiration to those who carry forward the love she shared so freely. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 01:00 PM at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee
