ADRIAN — Federal funding requested by Michigan’s 5th District Congressman Tim Walberg has been approved as part of a newly signed spending bill.
President Donald Trump signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026 into law today. The legislation includes funding for several community projects within Michigan’s 5th Congressional District.
One of the funded projects supports Adrian Public Schools, specifically to replace outdated boiler heating systems at the Drager Education Center. The upgrades are intended to improve building efficiency and indoor air quality for students and staff.
Walberg’s office said the funding followed months of coordination with local leaders to identify district needs and secure federal support for infrastructure improvements.
The funding was included in H.R. 7148 and takes effect as part of the Federal funding approved for Adrian schools boiler upgrades.
