MORENCI — The City of Morenci will offer a free bulky item drop-off for residents on Saturday, March 21.
A city-provided dumpster will be available from 10 a.m. until noon at the Department of Public Works facility at 597 West Chestnut Street, located behind Wakefield Park.
The event is open to City of Morenci residents only. Each primary household may dispose of up to two bulky items, with one trip allowed per household. All items must have originated from that residence.
Check-in will be required with a DPW laborer before dumping, and identification will be verified and recorded. Residents who do not meet the requirements will be turned away.
The service is offered at no cost, but transportation is not provided.
Certain materials will not be accepted, including hazardous waste, tires, liquids, yard waste, and construction materials. Residents are encouraged to review the city’s acceptable and unacceptable item guidelines before arriving.
The drop-off will close promptly at noon. A list of the acceptable items can be found here.
