TECUMSEH — A free piano concert is coming to Tecumseh next month, hosted by the First Presbyterian Church of Tecumseh.
German pianist Jonas Derksen will perform Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Tecumseh First Presbyterian Church, located at 211 West Chicago Boulevard. The concert is open to the public, and all community members are welcome to attend at no cost.
Derksen grew up in a musical family and began learning instruments at a young age, starting with recorder and flute before discovering piano as a teenager. He has released multiple albums of original piano compositions and annual piano cover albums from 2022 through 2025.
His music is available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, and he has performed in concerts and livestreams in Europe. Additional performances are scheduled this year in Germany and Switzerland.
