ADRIAN — The City of Adrian has issued a proclamation recognizing the nonprofit initiative Neighbor to Neighbor Adrian.

During last week’s City Commission meeting, MyKayla Giles (MY-KAY-la JY-uls), a diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant and member of the Adrian Dominican Sisters’ Neighbor to Neighbor Committee, accepted the proclamation from Adrian Mayor Angie Heath on the Sisters’ behalf.

According to their mission statement, Neighbor to Neighbor, or N2N, “encourages respectful and productive relationships between neighbors by sponsoring social and educational experiences leading all people to a more civil, peaceful and kind world.”

January 2026 marks the start of the N2N’s “Year of Kindness,” and the proclamation was awarded ahead of a kickoff event which took place Thursday at the Align Center for Workforce Development.
