Adrian, MI – Jury selection is now underway in the murder trial of Dale Warner, as proceedings formally began today in Lenawee County Circuit Court.
Before prospective jurors were brought into the courtroom, prosecutors placed a plea offer on the record, confirming they had extended an offer of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
Warner declined that offer. He is charged with open murder and tampering with evidence in connection to the death of his wife, Dee Warner. The alleged offenses date back to April of 2021 he pleaded not guilty.
The trial is being overseen by Lenawee County Circuit Court Judge Michael Olsaver. Jury selection is expected to continue, with opening statements to follow once a jury is seated.
