ADRIAN — The City of Adrian has declared a snow emergency beginning Sunday morning.
The snow emergency takes effect at 8 a.m. Sunday, January 25, and will remain in place until noon Monday, January 26.
During the snow emergency, parking or standing a vehicle on any public street or highway in the city is prohibited. This includes vehicles with on-street parking permits.
City officials say vehicles left on the street during the snow emergency may be ticketed or towed. Owners will be responsible for any fines and towing costs.
The restrictions are intended to allow crews to safely and efficiently clear snow from roadways.
Residents are also reminded to clear snow around fire hydrants after a snowfall. Officials ask homeowners to clear a three-foot radius around hydrants and create a clear path to the street to ensure access for emergency responders.
Additional updates will be provided by the City of Adrian as conditions change.
