ADRIAN — Share the Warmth of Lenawee will expand operations to provide a 24-hour emergency cold weather shelter in Adrian later this week.
According to the nonprofit organization, the shelter will operate continuously beginning 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, through 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, in response to dangerously cold conditions. This expanded schedule is in addition to normal 24-hour operations.
Beds will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until additional arrangements can be made. Capacity may change depending on need and weather conditions.
Officials with Share the Warmth of Lenawee say the goal is to ensure no one is left without a safe, warm place during the cold snap.
The most up-to-date information will be shared through the organization’s Facebook page.
Residents seeking shelter services or updates are encouraged to check online before arriving.
