Patricia Ann Love, age 82, of Tipton, MI, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born on May 5, 1943, in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of the late Arthur Harold and Alvena (Edwards) McElhiney. On September 3, 1961 at Springville United Methodist Church, she married Jesse Brent Love and they were blessed with over 61 years together before his passing in June of 2023.
Patricia was very much a homebody who loved spending her time on the farm, tending to her garden and working with her horses and her dogs. She was very passionate about her family and helped raise her great-grandson, Josh Hoag.
Patricia is survived by her son Jesse (Teresa) Love Jr. of Horton, her daughter Holly (Bryan) Love-Marihugh of Tipton; four grandchildren, Daniel (Stephanie) Love who lives on the family farm in Tipton, MI, Nikki Hurley of Panama City Beach FL, Heather (Alex Houle) Love of Toledo, OH, and Kayla Hurley of Onsted, MI ; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and her half-sister, Ruth Tosella of Kentucky.
In addition to her husband, Jesse, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Alvena and Arthur McElhiney; a son, Bryan Love; and her brother, Harry McElhiney.
At her request cremation has taken place. The family is planning to hold a Celebration of Life for Patricia later in the spring.
