ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners has approved more than $6.7 million dollars in accounts payable as officials close out the 2025 fiscal year.

The board approved over $6.7 million in payments covering multiple check runs from December through early January.

The General Fund portion totaled over $550,000.

County administrators report that despite the large year-end payments, the county finished 2025 slightly in the black.

As of December thirty-first, the county recorded $39.08 million in General Fund revenue and $38.93 million in General Fund expenditures.

Officials noted that final totals may shift as auditors complete year-end adjustments and reallocate December expenses.

The accounts payable approvals also included late-year budget amendments previously reviewed by committee.
