JACKSON — A free first-time homebuyer workshop is coming up later this month in Jackson.
The Community Action Agency is hosting the workshop on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at its Jackson office on Greenwood Avenue. Lunch will be provided.
The class is designed for people considering buying their first home and will cover whether homeownership is the right fit, how much buyers can afford, credit score requirements, closing costs, and how to choose a realtor and lender.
Participants will also learn how to protect their investment and better understand the homebuying process before making a purchase.
Registration is required at least 48 hours in advance.
