ADRIAN — The City of Adrian is switching over to a new phone system today, Wednesday, January 14, which could cause temporary service interruptions.
City officials say some calls may not go through during the transition and ask residents to try again later in the day if needed. For emergencies, residents should continue to call 911.
The switchover begins today with the Adrian Fire Department and Adrian Police Department.
On Thursday, the transition continues with Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, the cemetery and operations and maintenance.
The Department of Public Works and Parks are scheduled to switch over Friday, though that portion remains tentative.
City Hall is scheduled to move to the new system on Monday, January 19.
Officials thank residents for their patience during the upgrade.
